Our Story

YWAM JOCUM Marromeu has been actively working with the Sena and Maindo people in central Mozambique for over 20 years. After decades of war, the area is growing and our desire is that God is made known throughout the local communities.

God spoke to a South African YWAM team about visiting and ministering to Marromeu

Shephen learned about Marromeu during his DTS and desired to pursue frontier missions

Shephen and Caitlin visited Marromeu for the first time

First YWAM missionaries moved to Marromeu

First visit to the Zambezi Delta took 4 days by canoe

Partnered with Mercy Air to reach the Zambezi Delta via helicopter

Began building in Nensa

Esperança No Senhor preschool opened

Esperança No Senhor primary school opened
